Good luck on a noble undertaking, Karen. Keep us posted. I love music but, alas, the ability to produce it has always eluded me. I suspect there is a connection between that and my deficient math skills.
Thank you, Lorne. I don't expect to have any progress to share for quite a while. I read somewhere that it takes about 10 years to be really good at something, so I don't really feel pressured, nor do I feel my usual perfectionism. My goal was to be able to read music and play something recognizable (but not a nursery rhyme) within a year. My teacher tells me this should not be a problem, and may even be shooting low. Here's hoping!
